David Collings
Owner/Lead Instructor
David Collings, owner and lead instructor, brings years of personal experience as a scholarship baseball player at Andrew College and the University of West Georgia — where he also earned his MBA. David grew up playing with some of the best traveling teams in the state of Georgia as well as the award-winning East Cobb teams. Over the past three years, he has built quality relationships with pitchers and hitters throughout the West Georgia region by giving personal training tips and lessons. David managed Next Level Sports Center in Carrollton, GA, and also was an instructor at Chipper Jones’ 10th Inning Baseball Academy in Suwanee, GA prior to coming to Douglasville.  He and his staff are committed to providing first-class customer service and game-changing techniques to improve the development of all athletes.  David is the Head Coach of the 12U 5-Tool Phillies. 
Kati McClellan
Office Manager
Kati has worked at our facility under previous ownership (Diamond Starz Academy) for four years. For the last two years Kati has been serving in the position of Office Manager. Kati handles the day-to-day operations of 5-Tool Sports Training Center, and will be the first friendly face you see when you walk in the door!

Andrew Parrish
Private Instructor/Assistant Director of Travel Teams
Andrew comes to 5-Tool after a successfull collegiate career, where he finished up at the University of West Georgia.  Andrew spent the last three seasons coaching at the collegiate level under Todd Pratt with the West Georgia Technical College Golden Knights, and the Douglasville Bulls Collegiate Summer Ball team.  Andrew lead the Golden Knight hitters to a Top 5 finish in several offensive categories.  Andrew is continuing his playing career in the Pecos Professional League, where he will also assist in coaching the team.  Andrew is currently the Assistant Coach for the 12U 5-Tool Phillies, and does private instruction for Hitters and Fielders. 
Parris Austin
Fielding and Hitting Instructor
Parris is a Douglas County High School graduate (2004) where he was then selected in the 16th Round of the MLB Draft by the New York Mets.  Parris played for 2 Hall of Famers in his days with the Mets Organization (Brett Butler and Gary Carter).  Parris is still pursuing his playing career in the Pecos Professional League.  Parris assists with the 12U 5-Tool Phillies, and works with Hitters and Fielders privately. 
David White
Pitching and Hitting Instructor
David W. was drafted by the Florida Marlins in High School. He played baseball for the University of Georgia. And served as Head Baseball Coach at Heirway Christian School.
Mike Day
Catching and Hitting Instructor
Mike played at Oklahoma State University from 1981-1985 where he played in 4 College World Series as Catcher. He is an inducted member of OSU Hall of Fame, and he was awarded the honor as Top Catcher in World Series during 50th Anniversary of the College World Series. Mike was drafted by Montreal Expos in 1985, and played 3 years before sustaining a career ending injury. Since that time he as served as Asst Coach @ Wright State Univ, Asst Coach at Kent State Univ under Danny Hall, Asst Coach Central Arizona JC. From 2001-2004, he was a professional Scout for Colorado Rockies. He has also served as Head Baseball Coach Hiram High School and Troy HS in Ohio, as well as 5 Yrs Fastpitch Travel and HS coaching experience. In 2009, he was the Head softball coach at North Paulding HS.
Tim Smith
Private Instructor
Tim coached nationally competitive teams in Arizona to several tournament titles. He has also received national recognition for coaching abilities, and several of his students have went on to play successfully at the collegiate level. He was the understudy of University of Arizona coach Mike Candrea.
